Design
Functional art - that would probably be a more accurate description of my design objects. Some time ago, it was no longer enough for me to simply create works of art. One reason was certainly that I generally like to question many things constructively.
So a sculpture without a function? What is the point and where is the benefit? In my opinion, there certainly is, but often one can be combined with the other. I have long been fascinated by light, which is why I like designing lamps. Newer LED technology has expanded the use of heat-sensitive materials in this area because of the low heat development.
Even as a teenager, I liked doing handicrafts. Even then, I had a preference for wood. This led to the creation of primitive, somewhat impatiently assembled frames, tables and other furniture at an early age. Patience came with increasing maturity. And a high demand for quality. Value and longevity are always my concern with my design objects.
