Meraki Lights

«Meraki» is a Greek term that can not be translated literally. It means «doing something with soul, creativity or love» and «putting something of yourself into that work». Exactly with those ingredients the Meraki-lamps are developed:

First I create a rattan mold, with or without a wooden base. Then I install the lamp socket(s) and wire everything. In several hours of manual work, I cover in a next step, the structure with several layers of tissue paper. Lastly, I coat the luminaire with an environmentally friendly water-based finish; this makes it water repellent and shockproof.

All Meraki lamps are unique.
